HyperSheet^® Red High Abrasion Rubber Sheet is a premium red wear-resistant rubber sheet formulated with a high proportion of natural rubber (NR). Developed for demanding industrial applications, it combines abrasion resistance, flexibility, and resilience to protect equipment exposed to abrasive particles, slurry, and repeated impact.

With a low hardness of approximately 40 Shore A, elongation at break exceeding 800%, and tensile strength exceeding 20 MPa, this material is well suited to protective linings and wear components used in material handling, mineral processing, sand and shot blasting, and wet-abrasion environments.

When the appropriate thickness and installation method are selected, the rubber acts as a sacrificial wear layer, protecting the underlying equipment structure. This can help extend equipment service life, reduce maintenance frequency, and manage long-term component replacement costs.

Soft, Flexible, and Highly Resilient

With a hardness of 40 ± 5 Shore A, the rubber deforms under impact and recovers as the load is released. This response helps cushion material impact and reduce the forces transmitted to the structure behind the lining.

High Tensile Strength, Tear Resistance, and Elongation

The material combines tensile strength exceeding 20 MPa, tear strength exceeding 45 N/mm, and elongation at break exceeding 800%. These properties support applications requiring both flexibility and mechanical strength.

Sizes and Cutting Options to Fit Your Equipment

Standard thicknesses range from 1 to 25 mm, with a standard width of 1.2 m. Sheets can be supplied cut to size, cut into strips, or cut to drawing. Custom dimensions and colours are also available to meet specific project requirements.

How It Works: Deform, Absorb Impact, and Recover

When sand, mineral particles, or other abrasive materials strike the rubber surface, the soft, elastic material deforms to accommodate the impact and absorb part of its energy. As the applied force decreases, the rubber returns towards its original shape.

Installed as an equipment lining, HyperSheet^® Red High Abrasion Rubber Sheet becomes the direct contact surface for abrasive materials. It takes the wear in place of the equipment wall, surface, or primary structure. The lining can then be inspected and replaced when it reaches the specified wear limit.

Actual performance depends on the type and size of abrasive material, particle velocity, impact angle, rubber thickness, and installation method. Material selection should therefore be based on the actual operating conditions.
